Fairies, Clowns, and Superheroes!

 

I have 3 more cards of Purdie Halloween fun to share!

Let's start off with something happy and cheerful, or if you hate clowns maybe something terrifying?

I used the ruffle collar, wig, tie, nose, and big shoes to make my bright and colorful Purdie the clown card. I used my copics to color but I had to add a little texture to that wig so I used a dark orange Prismacolor pencil to make swirls on the wig.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's SUPER PURDIE UNICORN! I used the cape, and super emblem to make my superhero card. I love that this set doesn't have to be just for Halloween. This would make the perfect Birthday card right?

My last card is my Unicorn Fairy! I used the wings, skirt, flower necklace and flower for her hair to create my beautiful chubby fairy. I had to add Stickles to make sure she sparkles! I had to add rhinestones and flowers to make this card extra sparkly!

Purdie's Halloween Stamp Set!

You guys asked for it so here she is!
Purdie 's Halloween Stamp Set.
She may have been created for Halloween but you can use her for so many other projects other than Halloween.
I have counted at least 12 costumes so far but with your imagination who knows how many you could come up with!

Here I have used the set to create a witchy card! I had to include some of those stinkin cute gingham buttons from the B00-licious Sassy Pack!

I really stretched myself on this one by using the top of the clown tie as the bolts for her neck!

Just image all the countless hours spent on dress up play!

Introducing Ghost in a Jar

It's Ghost in a Jar week! I have shared below just some of the cards I have made using this fun stamp set. My Design Team is going to show off all the creative ways you can use this stamp this week! 

My first card showcases a jar of eyeballs! Because you can never have too many, right? I used Copics to color my image and when I was finished I colored stripes with B00 along the length of the jar. Next, I did the same thing using a white gel pen and smeared the ink to make the jar look, well, more like a glass jar.

 

For my next card, I had to feature this cute little ghost! I used V01/Booo/Boo to create his transparency look.

This card looks like a snapshot of a witches pantry complete with eyeballs, bones and slug juice! I stamped the jar on transparency sheet using StazOn ink. I adhered it under where I placed the jar labels so you couldn't see it. 

For my last card, I thought I would create a shaker card jar!  I stamped the jar on transparency sheet using StazOn ink. I stamped all the small stamp elements onto shrinky dink paper and colored the images with colored pencil. Using my heat gun I shrunk the elements. I placed them in my shaker card for one of a kind shaker contents.

A sweet scarecrow

Is coloring not your thing? Well, then this card is for you! I have simply stamped the scarecrow from the Falling for Scarecrow Stamp set using Brutus|Monroe Macchiato ink, and softly inked the edges of the circle with Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink. 

You can still make a cute card using nothing more than 1 stamped image and no coloring. I added elements from our Fall Sassy Pack to complete the look!

I decided to try a different look by creating a pastel fall card. I used all the smaller stamps to make a fall scene and just filled them in with copics (no shading). I used YR02/E11/E33/Y23/B00/G21

Try taking a pastel approach to make your fall card or if you are looking to make a card that's fast and adorable create your own no coloring card!

A floral Thank you

I think it's really important to be able to use every stamp on a stamp set and to be able to use that set for more than it's intended theme. For example, you've made a cute scarecrow for a fall themed card but what else can you make? How about a floral thank you card? 

That's exactly what I did for today's card. I used the sunflower from Falling for Scarecrow Stamp set, and "Thank You" sentiment from our Thank You sentiment stamp set.

 I started first by stamping my flowers randomly using Brutus|Monroe Macchiato ink.  Next, I Used Prismacolor Pencils to color in each flower.

Magenta - PC994/PC1009
Purple - PC1008/PC1007
|Teal - PC1006/PC105
Orange- PC1002/PC118
Center - PC941 & White
Leaf - PC1005/PC109
I also used White gel pen for a highlight in the center of the flower.

Funny story . . . I was working on my card, and I did half the card and was really impressed by how well the white pencil spread on the page. It was really easy to blend....then I looked at the pencil and realized it was my white eyeliner! Oh geez. So if you are in a pinch and can't find your white pencil . . . Check your makeup bag!

I finished the card by stamping Thank You on a brown strip of paper using Versamark ink and Brutus|Monroe white embossing powder (amazing stuff). I adhered it on top of a strip of magenta paper and placed that at an angle on my card. I finished it off with 3 iridescent rhinestones!

I hope this thank you card will get you thinking about how you can use your stamps in a different way.

When I saw the London stamp I knew I had to make a little London street scene. (Note that a couple of other designers made a similar scene and I love how they all look so different. Just proving how versatile these sets are).  I also used our Layered Cloud Stencil to create my London sky. I love how her set of images pair perfectly with my sentiments.

Another day another sentiment card to inspire you to create sentiment cards.

Okay, this one has baby Purdie snuck in there but the sentiment is
"Unleash your inner Sassy" so I kind of had to use her! Right?

Here is my card featuring all things Witt & Sass!!! I used Fabulously Gobsmacked for my sentiment, baby Purdie and buttons from the "I'm so Sassy" Sassy Pack to create this clean and simple card! Of course, I had to use W&S colors!

Sentiment stamps are the best! They will always be my favorite because you can do lots with them.

Sentiment Stamps

Sentiment stamps are a must-have for cardmaking. Any stamper and card maker will tell you that you are constantly on the hunt for the perfect sentiment stamp. The new line I have developed for Witt & Sass is hopefully the answer to that search! I wanted to create sentiment stamps that are really expressive, and also the kind of things I would want to hear if I was given a card.

Today's card I created using The Friends Stamp Set.

I used some metallic paper I had and ran it through my Sizzix using a Darcie embossing plate, and then I lightly sanded it and applied alcohol ink. I really wanted my sentiment to be the star of the card so I used very little embellishment. I used Prismacolor pencils to color the tiny flower from Design Cupcake Stamp Set.

Fall Release Countdown Day 1

Today's release is so very close to my heart. It's all about Sentiments. I believe that crafting should be a personal expression, and I believe even stronger that  if we take all that time to create something special then the sentiments we wish to convey to one another should be special too.

I created a line of sentiment stamps called

Keepin' it Real

Sentiments that express things that you would want to hear if you were receiving a card or gift. Sentiments that keep it heartfelt, keep it loving, and keep it real. My first 3 sets are called Friends, Loss, and Thank You.

Friends

I thought it was essential to have a sentiment about internet friends because it's so  many of us makes close friends online. 

Loss

I remember when I was greiving and so many cards were so busy or had too much information for my brain to handle. That's why I made this very simple card with a sentiment that's near and dear to my heart.

Thank You

I chose to create this sentiment because sometimes I want my friends & family to know exactly why I am thankful for them.

 

Now you know it wouldn't be me if I didn't have something Witty & Sassy, so with that in mind I created Fabulously Gobsmacked! A sentiment stamp set that combines cheeky British sayings, with American sentiments!

Here I have used most of the British sentiments to create patterned paper for my card and below I did the same technique using one of the American sentiments.

I hope you have enjoyed these sentiment based cards and I can't wait for Saturday to come so you can all enjoy them as well!
