Stampendous- Do you want to build a Snowman?

Do you want to build a snowman? I do too!

For this project I'm thinking outside of the box! I love this Stampendous Build a Snowman set, and I thought it would be perfect to create fun decorative art for some Christmas décor! I also used Stampendous Create Christmas tree stamp.

First I stamped my images and colored them using Copic Markers:(B00,B02,C1,C3,R20,RV14,R35,R37,R59,E35,E08,YR68,YR38,100,G82,G94,G28,G29).

When your cutting out the snowmen and tree be sure to leave 1/2" border at the bottom of each image. Cut a vertical slit in the bottom center on each border. Cut a small rectangle from scrap paper and cut a small slit bottom center. push slits together at the bottom of each stamped image to create a stand.

I cut out a circle to fit into the jar, and glued my pieced to the circle. Cover with Glossy accents and set stand up images onto circle, and let dry.

Next I glued cotton balls on top of my circle. Then I dropped it into the jar and sprinkled Stampendous Spoonful of Snow to add all that yummy glitter!

Last but certainly not least I stamped the large snowflake from Stampendous Snowflake Queen onto acetate using Versamark Ink. Sprinkle with Stampendous Detailed White Embossing Powder, heat set and cut out. I taped the snowflakes to thin thread and tape hanging from the inside lid. Add red bow to jar, and you've got a whimsical Christmas décor!

Stampendous Mousey Mischief Day 1

Is there anything cuter that a fluffy little mouse? I have to admit these little creatures are adorable, but I wouldn't want to run into them in real life! As long as they stay on my stamps I will forever be a huge fan! Especially when there cute little noses are poking out of a pair of jeans! Adorable!!!

Instructions:

1) Start with 5 ¾” x 6 “grey striped card. Glue 5 ¾” x 2 ¼” dark green cardstock horizontally ½” from the bottom. Cut 5 ¼” x 4 ½” tan cardstock. Stamp with small alphabet from Vintage Press set using Memento™ Black Ink. Glue centered and 5/8” from the top. Cut 4 7/8” x 4 ¼” white cardstock, and stamp with Hanging jeans using Memento™ Black Ink. Color with Copic markers as shown. (To create the look of jeans color with B93. Add B95, and B97 for shading. Make crisscross marks lightly for the jeans using B95, and lightly go over everything with YR000). Glue centered on tan cardstock.

2) Cut 2” x 1”, and 2” x 1 ½” sage green cardstock. Stamp with cursive writing from Vintage Press set using Memento™ Black Ink. Glue 2” x 1” centered flush with bottom.

3) Cut 1 ¾” x 1 1/8” grey stripped paper, and glue to 2” x 1 ½” sage green cardstock. Cut 1 5/8” x 1“white cardstock, and stamp with “Stand strong with friends besides you” sentiment. Glue centered onto grey. Glue centered at top of card.

4) Glue denim ribbon to bottom of card. Glue twine as shown.

Feeling like Fall

Yes, I know it's still summer, but I am dreaming of Fall. Cool breezes, hot chocolate, warm sweaters and all those beautiful fall colors. I think the Stampendous Forest Rubber Stamp Set is perfect for fall! And hello . . . .Cutest fox EVER! I love how many different stamps come in this set because you can really mix them up to create lots of different cards.

I love how all the fall colors came together on the tree. I just want to sit underneath it with a cup of hot chocolate.

To create your own Fall-tastic card you'll need:

Distress Ink - Festive Berries, Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed, Vintage Photo
Blender Tool
Post it Notes

Circle Cutting Die
Foam Tape
Zip Dry

Instructions:

1. Die cut 5 1/2" brown circle card. Die cut 5" white cardstock circle. Use blending tool and Festive Berries, Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed Distress Inks on circle to create gradient. Place Post It notes at the bottom and use blender tool to add Vintage Photo (to create the ground).

2. Stamp Tree, leaves, owl and fox onto white cardstock with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Color with Copics as shown.

3. Glue gradient circle centered onto brown circle card. Stamp "Thank you for being such a dear friend" onto circle as shown. Foam tape stamped pieces as shown.

Playing with Paste!

This week Stampendous is having us Play with Paste! I have a really fun technique that I think you'll love! It's using Dreamweaver Translucent Paste and Stampendous Silver Halo Glitter mix. You can customize this technique by using any of the Stampendous glitters!

First you are going to take out a paper plate and the Dreamweaver Translucent Paste. Place about a Tablespoon of paste on the plate. I used a popsicle stick to mix, but you can use anything you want.

Next pour a LIBERAL amount of Stampendous Halo Glitter. (I used about a Tablespoon. You could use more or less depending on the look you are going for).

Stir together until it's completely mixed.

Then tape down your stencil using stencil tape, and spread the paste across your stencil. For this project I used Dreamweaver Graduated Dot Stencil. Remove stencil and let this dry completely.

I used this sparkly stencil technique for my background, and I used Stampendous Peony Spray Rubber Stamp for my focal point. I used Copic Markers ( R00,R20,RV14,R32 ) to color the flower, and Copic Markers (YG00,G82,YG63,YG67 ) to color the leaves. I added ribbon, and foam taped my peony to the bottom right side of my card. To finish it of I stamped a "Thank You" sentiment onto a sheet of Judikins embossable window plastic using Versamark Ink. I sprinkled it with Stampendous Detailed White Embossing Powder, and heat set. I attached it with Glue Dots.

You really can't capture on camera how much this sparkles! Trust me it's SO SPARKLY!!!

You have to try this technique, and remember you can customize it using any of the Stampendous Glitter mixes!

Chameleon and Stampendous Blog Fun!

When you combine this simple coloring versatility with Stampendous® and House-Mouse Designs® images, you can create fantastic projects quickly. You won't believe the stunning range of colors that can be achieved with these markers, and the array of original projects you can create with the combination of Stampendous and Chameleon.

For my first card I have to share with you this stunning Stampendous Snow Queen Rubber Stamp! I know I know it's summer. . . . so what better way to cool down than a snowflake card! LOL...okay that was cheesy, so I'll keep my comments to the cards. I really do love this image. Of course she could be an amazing frozen themed girl, but I wanted to change it up a bit so I colored her skin a beautiful tawny color and silky black hair.

Instructions:

1) Start with white horizontal card. Stamp Stampendous Snowflake Sky Rubber Stamp using Distress Ink Salty Ocean. Use blending tool and Salty Ocean to add color to edges and a small amount to the center.

2) Stamp Stampendous Snow Queen onto Mixed Media White Paper using Memento Ink. Color with Chameleon Markers as shown, and use blending tool and Salty Ocean to add color to edges and a small amount around large snowflake. Glue to card as shown.

3) Stamp large snowflake onto Mixed Media White Paper and cut out. Color with Chameleon Markers as shown, foam tape on top of original snowflake. Stamp “Greetings” sentiment, and ink edges with Salty Ocean Distress Ink. Foam tape to card as shown.

4) Add Crystal Snow Glitter, and Silver Glass Glitter to corners. Heat set.

5) Add Ribbon to the corners.

Stampendous Tree Themed Fun!

I know what your thinking . . . How many cards could I actually make with trees? Well thanks to Stampendous you can seriously make a ton of tree themed cards that are literally perfect for ANY occasions! Besides great tree themed stamps they made an adorable set of tree sentiments!

Instructions:

1) Start with 5 1/2” x 5 3/4” blue card. Stamp entire card with peeled paint texture stamp using Faded Jeans Distress Ink. Stamp “Have a Tree-mendous Birthday!” sentiment on the lower right corner of card using Memento Ink™. Set aside.

2) Stamp Tree House onto white cardstock using Memento Ink™. Color with Copic Markers. (To make tree texture color leaves with YG00 first. Then working from lightest to darkest green, press pen down and lift to create large dots. This will make it look like leaves.) Cut out tree and grass.

3) Using 4 ¼” circle cutting die, cut out circle from white cardstock. Use blending tool and Victorian Velvet, Dried Marigold, Mustard Seed Distress Ink to blend together to create sunset. Glue centered onto card. Foam tape tree to card front. Draw a line for tire swing and foam tape tire.

Stampendous and Spellbinder's Blog Hop!

It’s summer time and we are hopping with some fabulous companies in the Summer Road Trip Partner Hop with Spellbinders.

Stampendous Stamps is hopping all three days with some fabulous summer inspiration from the design team and on Wednesday two of our designers will be featured a tutorial with some new Spellbinders products! How fun is that!

Today's featured products for the Spellbinders hop are DecoArt*, May Arts*, Xyron and Chameleon Pens*, and of course I threw in a little Stampendous! Okay...maybe a lot of Stampendous, but you can hardly blame me, right?

I used AS Cling Industrial Set, Penned Love Rubber Stamp, and Jumbo Cling Rubber Butterfly Trio to create my layout. I used Spellbinders Sweet treats, Label thirty six, and Bitty Blossoms cutting dies. I wanted to create a unique focal point so I used Spellbinders Large Heart Bezel to create a one of a kind piece for my layout of my beautiful granddaughter Lily.

I also used May Arts Ribbon, rhinestones and Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.

I used fingernail polish to paint the Spellbinders Large Heart Bezel , and then filled it with candy Nonpareils Sprinkles. Once those were added I careful poured resin into the bezel and set it aside to dry.

I used Chameleon markers to color in my butterfly, and was able to get the light to dark tones I was looking for to make my butterfly feel soft and pretty. I love how easy the Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms make adorable little roses that are perfect for layouts and cards. I just rubbed a little Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink to age them a bit.

With the AS Cling Industrial Set, and Jumbo Cling Rubber Butterfly Trio I was able to create some beautiful patterned paper for my background.

Stampendous Seaside Fun Day 2!

I can't help it. . . . whenever I see a blue/green tinted mason jar, I automatically think of the beach! There's just something about that colored jar that makes me think of sand, seashells, and that rustic weathered beach wood. This Stampendous Seashell Jar Stamp is the perfect example of just that!

I think the Stampendous Encrusted Jewel Pink Kit is perfect for adding that sandy beach texture.

1) Start with 5 1/2” x 6 1/2” craft card. Blend edges with Distress Ink Vintage Photo. Cut 4 ¼” x 6” tan cardstock, and tear right edge so paper now measures 4” x 6”. Stamp paper repeatedly with Vintage Letter stamp using Distress Ink Vintage Photo. Blend edges with Distress Ink Vintage Photo. Glue to card ¼” from the left centered. Cut 1 ¼” x 4” tan cardstock, and tear right edge so paper now measures 1” x 4”. Stamp paper with Vintage Letter stamp using Distress Ink Vintage Photo. Blend edges with Distress Ink Vintage Photo. Glue to card ¼” from the right and 1” from the bottom.

2) Stamp Seashell Jar onto Fran’s Mixed Media Paper with Memento. Color with Copics as shown. Stamp “Find a Few Moments . . .” sentiment using weather wood Distress Ink. Ink Edges with Versamark ink and sprinkle on Pearlized Mica, Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel, Aged Rose Embossing Enamel. Heat Set.

3) Zip Dry Ribbon to card as shown. Foam tape stamped image to card. Zip Dry buttons as shown. Add Bow.

Faber-Castell and Stampendous Day 2!

For this hop your going to see tons of fun ideas that are going to want to make you want to grab your stash and get playing! But before we see what I've created for this hop you should know that there are PRIZES!

Today I'm featuring Faber-Castell Chalkboard paint and PITT Pastel Pencils blue/green. I love how well the pastel pencils color on the chalkboard paint.

1. I started with a 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" teal card. I cut 4 1/4" x 6 1/4" watercolor paper, and painted 2 coats of Faber-Castell chalkboard paint letting the coats dry in between. I rounded the corners.

2. I used Stampendous Jumbo Cling Rubber Butterfly Trio to stamp onto the chalkboard paper using Staz-On ink in white. Once that dried I colored the butterflies with PITT Pastel Pencils 151,153, and 143.

3. I rounded the corners and punch out an oval from the bottom. I taped the sentiment behind the oval, and then foam taped it to my card front. I added rhinestones to the wings to finish it off.

Faber-Castell and Stampendous Day 1!

Alright . . . I'm feeling pretty jazzed about this one! Faber-Castell has some of the coolest and yummiest art products out there, and they are perfect for experimenting, and coloring with the hippest stamp company around...Stampendous of course! Be sure to check tomorrows post when I show off the Faber-Castell Pastel Pencils and Chalkboard Paint!!!

Now on to my creation for this super fun blog hop! I used Stampendous Timeless Rose Rubber Stamp and Faber-Castell Gelatos in Bubble Gum, Mango, Margarita and Lemon, as well as Faber-Castell Mix and Match Pastel Pencils in Blue/Green. First I used Stampendous white Detail Embossing Powders to emboss my rose onto watercolor paper.

After embossing rose, I cut it out and colored it with Faber-Castell Gelatos. Don't work about being messy with this. It really doesn't need to look perfect because we will be blending it out.

Next spray with water lightly and then blend the colors (It helps to have a brush for each color so colors don't get to muddled). After blending you can go back over with specific colors to deepen color.

Then your left with this:

Repeat the same process with the leaves using Lemon and Margarita Gelatos. Once the leaves have dried you can add shading by using green(168) pastel pencil. Next cut 4 1/4" x 6 1/4" light grey card. Cut 4 1/4" x 6 1/4" dark grey cardstock, and cut at an angle. Stamp cardstock with Stampendous AS Cling Industrial Set paint chip using Pumice Stone Distress Ink. Stamp sentiment, add gold glitter ribbon, and foam tape flower as shown.
