The Amy Doodle Of It All . . .

Cosmic Shimmer texture paste!

Okay I am LOVING this product by Creative Expressions! They come in all kinds of colors and they work great with stencils. It's a transparent texture paste filled with glitter so when it dries you have a nice pattern of glitter on your project that won't come off!

And . . . .It comes in a TON of colors! You can find them HERE or in the UK HERE.

I found this great star stencil and I purchased the silver Cosmic Shimmer to create this card. I used navy blue cardstock for my night sky. What's the best thing for a night sky? A Stampendous PenPattern Owl Rubber Stamp!

I did a no line coloring technique to color my owl. First I die cut my circle from white cardstock. Then I punched holes in a piece of white scratch paper and then rubbed my blending tool over the holes using Pumice Stone Distress Ink. Then I stamped the moon with Stampendous Gorgeous Rubber Stamp.

For the owl I used Copic Markers. Eyes: Y11,Y15,YR15, black pen / Body: YG03,BG34,B24,B39 / Branch and Leaves: BG34,YG03,E71,E77

I finished of the bottom of the card with Silver Jewel Border Dazzles™!!

Okay . . . . what girl doesn't love a little sparkle? If you are like me an you LOVE sparkle you're going to love this stamp set by WPLUS9! It's called Sparkle & Shine and it comes with 7 sentiments, and 11 graphics!

Misti Stamping Tool

I normally take the weekends off, but I'm so excited about the MISTI Stamping Tool and I HAVE to share!!!! If you haven't heard about it then let me fill you in on an amazing tool!

This is the Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented. MISTI for short. Its simple hinge design provides consistent stamping for the novice or experienced crafter. It will accommodate both cling mount and clear stamps. MISTI will provide a platform for multiple stamp techniques—stamp positioner, lining up die cuts and stamps, registration, etc. It offers the ability to use magnets to help positioning. I have some incredible videos from fellow crafters to share with you  so you can see just how amazing this tool is! (you can search the web, but I have found it for sale at Simon Says Stamp. It's usually on backorder, but you can still buy it and they ship it when it comes in.)

Hero Arts OWH Missing You!

I just had to make a cute little note card set using Hero Arts OWH Missing You stamp set! It comes with 5 adorable animals, and 6 sentiments. They are also OWH...Operation Write Home. An incredible  program were you can make homemade cards to send to the troops so they have cute cards they can use to write home with.

I just think the animals are soooo stinkin cute! I love their big eyes!

Let's make this sweet pastel set of note cards. . .

You'll need:

Hero Arts OWH Missing You stamp set

Memento Ink - black

Distress Ink - Victoria Velvet, Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass, Shabby Shutters, Squeezed Lemonade

Simon Says Stamp ink - Fog

Ink Blending Tool

Grey, and white cardstock

Circle Cutting Die - 2 1/8"

Spectrum Noir Markers: BT2, IG1, CR2, PP1, HB1, IB1, CG1, CG2, TB2

Stickles - Stardust

 

Start by blending ink onto white cardstock. Leave the ink blending uneven, so you have lighter and darker areas.

Cut with circle die cut, and stamp sentiment repeatedly using Simon Says Stamp Fog ink.

Stamp sentiment using Memento black ink onto 3" x 4" grey cardstock card as shown.

Foam tape circle onto grey cardstock

Stamp animals onto white cardstock, cut out. Color with Spectrum Noir Markers, and foam tape to center of circle. Add Stickles and set aside to dry.

Card colors:

For GREEN CARD use Shabby Shutters Distress Ink, and markers pictured.

(*NOTE: BT2 was used to add shadow to all the characters eyes, and IG1 was used to add shadow to all the animals*)

 

For the BLUE CARD use Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and the markers below:

 

For the PINK CARD use Spun Sugar Distress Ink and the markers below:

For the YELLOW CARD use Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink and the markers below:

For the LAVENDER CARD use Shaded Lilac Distress Ink and the markers below:

Now for the fun part...ADD STICKLES! Glitter makes everything better!

And there you have it! It's a sweet, simple but adorable note card set! It's perfect as a gift for a friend, or as a small card attached to a present!

Avery Elle Made with Love Stamp Review

Every wish you had the perfect stamp to create a card for the knitter in your life? Or maybe you love to knit and stamp and you just want an excuse to make something with some cute yarn graphics! Avery Elle has got you covered! They came out with this adorable stamp set called " Made with love ". It features a knitting theme and has 2 borders, 2 graphics, and 9 sentiments! It's so stinkin adorable!!!

 

This is definitely one set that you need for your stamp collection because it would be great for cards, gift sets, or even scrapbook pages. It's that versatile!

*NOTE: I recommend stamping the image with Memento Ink as a 3rd generation stamp (This way you have an outline in really pale black ink to color), coloring it with the following Spectrum Noir Markers, and then stamp over entire image with Faded Jeans Distress Ink.*

Avery Elle Product review!

Okay I just had to share this little cutie! This new stamp by Avery Elle is adorable! It's called Berry Good! It has so many fruits and cute sayings that the possibilities for fruity good cards are endless! It even has a coordinating cutting die, and it is definitely a must have!

 

 

I did this watercolor card in record time by splashing the background with a coral color, and painting the pear's with green and yellow. After they dried I used A Wink Of Stella pen to add a little glitter......okay, ALOT of glitter! I can't help it. The card reads "You and I...are the perfect pair!" Now go grab your set and start making some fruit-tastic cards!

 

 

Friday Fun - Dusting off the old Digi's

There's nothing like Digi Stamps! I love them! That's probably why I make them( SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT -you can find my stamps at Amy Doodle's Stamp Company). But seriously, don't forget with all the stamps you buy to occasionally re-visit the old digi's you already have! I have found that I won't use an image for a long time, but be reminded of it because it pairs perfectly with a stamp, or product that's NEW to my stash!

For example: Here I have 2 of my old favorite stamps from Mo Manning digital stamps, and 1 from Kenny K Digital Stamps. I haven't used them in awhile, but bought these new sentiment stamps from Riley & Company and I thought..."I know the perfect Digi's for these!" So I created these fun cards that have HILARIOUS sentiments on them, and I thought they would be perfect for FRIDAY FUN!

DoodleBug Product Review!

Doodlebug Design’s 6x6 Friendly Forest paper pad is a delightful selection of fall patterns combined with bright purple, teal, and fuchsia in addition to the normal fall theme.  I love the punch these colors give to my designs.  

 The papers worked great with the “Rocky the Raccoon” Digi stamp from The Amy Doodle’s Stamp Co.  Love the style of the patterns and prints in the collection they have a really unexpected color palette for fall. This is definately a must have, so make sure to pick this up for your fall projects!
