I am so excited about this blog hop because Beth is a personal friend of mine and she's amazing!

We've taken Beth Duff Designs Adventures Abroad - London and Witt & Sass Fabulously Gobsmacked to create cards that will be bloody brilliant! With the combined creativity of our Design Teams, you are guaranteed not to run short on inspiration!

When I saw the London stamp I knew I had to make a little London street scene. (Note that a couple of other designers made a similar scene and I love how they all look so different. Just proving how versatile these sets are).  I also used our Layered Cloud Stencil to create my London sky. I love how her set of images pair perfectly with my sentiments.

I AM SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE  . . .

I AM STARTING MY OWN STAMP COMPANY! 

Called

I will be producing my own stamp lines! They will include 4 x 8 Stamp Sets, 2 x 3 Stamps, and coordinating Stencils! They will all be sold through the company as well as Brutus Monroe! This is really a dream come true and I couldn't be more excited!!!

They will release the middle of July and will include some of my Digi Stamps only reworked a bit to add more goodies to them.

 

I am so happy to be heading out on this adventure, and even more happy that my crafty friends get to come along for the ride!

Kindred Stamps Guest Designer!

Kindred Stamp release's are so fun! I have been asked to be a guest designer and I couldn't be more excited! I love their products and consider my self a hard core fan. Okay . . . maybe more like a light stalker, but I keep it legal. If you haven't been introduced to them then let me make a formal introduction! They are a clear stamp company with stamps that have a delicious geeky twist. These sets are parodies of pop culture fandoms, and as such have inspired names. For example here are a couple of samples to give you an idea . . .

Now lets get on to the real reason your here! A new release! I ADORE this set called Next Space Explorers! 
I have a husband that absolutely loves this set so it's perfect for my card making!

I used my Copics to color my space explorer and used Distress Inks to create a space nebula background to place him on. Of course I had to add some gold and sparkle, and I used White embossing powder on vellum for my sentiment.

The sentiment on the inside of the card is from the same set but my cool triangle graphic is from another
awesome Kindred Stamp Set called Space Explorers!

For my second card I had to make a comical one, and nothing is funnier to me than a good pun. So of course I made an "Insufficient Data" card (Nerds will snicker here). I simply colored my little guy with Copics, and printed out the sentiment using Microsoft Word. 

For the inside I thought this sentiment from another stamp set I had would be absolutely perfect. It's "I am not complete with you" from the Kindred Stamp Trim the Hedges Set.

Karen Burniston and Brutus Monroe Blog Hop

 

 This week's Brutus Monroe Blog Hop is so exciting because we are teaming up with Karen Burniston and her FABULOUS cutting dies! They have all kinds of incredible 3D dies! Their wafer-thin metal crafting dies are compatible with most major die cutting machines. They are innovative, cutting edge die sets will take your paper crafting to new heights. 

For my card I used the Twist Panel Pop Up Die Set.

The incredibly fun part of this die set is that it makes a fun card that when you open the card the panels twist and spread out! It creates such a fun interactive card!

Brutus Monroe Thermoweb Blog Hop

It's Wednesday and this week we are having a very special Blog Hop!  Brutus|Monroe is blog hopping with ThermoWeb! If you aren't familiar with their products you are in for a real treat! This week I am focusing on Deco Foil and Deco Foil Transfer Gel to create a shiny underwater card! I used the Mermaid Lagoon Stamp set from Brutus|Monroe as well as some of their mermaid goodness!

I already used Distress Oxide Inks in Mermaid Lagoon and Mowed lawn to create a colored background for this technique. Here's what you'll need to make the rest of background:

Brutus|Monroe Tangled Waves Stencil

DecoFoil Transfer Gel

Removable Tape (I use medical tape)

DecoFoil in Jade

 

Tape the Stencil down

Evenly spread gel over stencil

Remove stencil and tape and let it completely dry. For me it took 3 hours.

You will know when it is done because it will turn clear when it is dry.

Next I placed my foil over the top and ran it through my laminator. Then Ta-Da perfect shiny gorgeousness! If you don't have one I found mine on Amazon for only $19.00! You can find it HERE

Stampendous and Deflecto Blog Hop Day 2!

 

 I used Stampendous Tropical Pineapple stamp to decorate my Deflecto Carousel Rotating Organizer - 9 Bins!

I measured my watercolor paper and cut it to fit, and then stamped my Pineapple using Versamark Ink and Stampendous detail black embossing powder. I heat set it, and then water colored it with Distress Inks in  Picked Raspberry, Abandon Coral, Mustard Seed, Cracked Pistachio, and Peacock Feathers. I love the idea of pulling out the inserts and changing it seasonally!

Stampendous and Deflecto Blog Hop Day 1!

Deflecto has great product for organization, as well as pieces that you can customize for your home or craft space. Stampendous stamps are of course my go to for customizing anything. Today I made a really fun and simple photo frame.

I used their clear frame and Stampendous Sketchy Blooms Stamp to customize my frame. I stamped the frame with Versamark, and used some Detail Black Embossing powder.

If you want to customize this for a unique gift you could stamp the Sketchy Blooms stamp several times onto watercolor paper, and paint several versions of the stamp for different occasions. For example you could paint a pastel one for Easter, a red and green version for Christmas, or perhaps black flowers with red leaves for Halloween. The possibilities are endless! I used white embossing powder, and painted in some blues and greens using my Distress Inks.

You cut it out, and simple slide it in making sure to line it up in between the frame. Viola! Customized frame that's fun for your craft room, home, or as a gift!

DecoArt products together with Andy Skinner's new stamps!

We’re super excited this week to play with our friends at DecoArt. Mixed Media Artist and DecoArt International Education Coordinator Andy Skinner has designed some fantastic stamps for Stampendous, and we’re going to be showing them off all week long.

Andy will join us along with his team of international mixed media artists including Julia Stratford-Wright, Mark Gould, Mel Hookham, and Jools Robertson. Plus there will be posts this week on the DecoArt blog as well. Naturally the Stampendous Design Team will be checking in as well

Andy Skinner is an incredible Mixed Media Artist that created a line of stamps with Stampendous! Therefor giving all of us the opportunity to more easily create amazing mixed media pieces!! These stamps combined with Deco Art paints can help you create projects worthy of being called fabulous!!! THE MEDIA PAINT is great for tinting embossing pastes as well.  I created a 12x12 canvas project about my adorable grandson DJ.

I loved how layering the Deco paint created this faux rust kind of look, and combined with Andy Skinners chipped paint stamp and some black ink, the paint looks much older than it is. To see more on how to do this awesome technique check out this tutorial by Andy Skinner HERE.

I used Stampendous Wood Grain Stamp to create this faux wood frame. It compliments the rustic picture of my adorable grandson.

I also used Dreamweaver Gears Stencil and Silver Embossing Paste to add some visual interest to the layout. I used Dreamweaver Maple Leaf Stencil to trace onto cardstock, cut out 5 of them, glue them together to make a thick leaf. I then spread White Embossing Paste over the leaf and stamped it with Stampendous Elegant Scroll stamp. Once it was dry I used Deco Art paints to layer colors onto it.

The final touch was adding more embellishments using Andy Skinner Toxic Stamp Set, as well as Stampendous Wild sayings clear stamps to add a little sentiment.

May Arts Blog Hop Day 2!

Day 2 of the Blog Hop with May Arts and this next card has some really fun ribbon that perfectly compliments Stampendous Fairy Aviary Stamp. I love how the leaf ribbon ties into all the leaves that are growing out of the cage, and the teal check and lavender ribbon really make the green pop!

Instructions:

1. Start with 5 1/8” x 6 1/8” purple card. Cut 4 7/8” x 5 7/8” light blue cardstock and glue centered.
2. Cut 4 ¾” x 5 ¾” white cardstock. Use blending tool to blend Distress Inks - Twisted Citron, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet. Let Dry completely. Let dry completely. Stamp Floral Tapestry using Versamark Ink, sprinkle with Detail Clear Embossing Powder. Shake off excess, and heat set. Repeat until background is completely covered. Glue centered.
3. Stamp Fairy Aviary onto mixed media paper and color with Copics as shown. Cut out inside cage with exacto knife, and the rest with scissors. Glue to card.
4. Glue ribbon. Die cut tag. Blend edges with Tumbled Glass, and then stamp sentiment onto tag using Wilted Violet.

Is there anything better than ribbon!!! I think not! I am a self proclaimed ribbon hoarder and there is no company I love more than May Arts! I love the quality of their ribbons as well as the variety! There's even prizes for this yummy Blog Hop

This week the Stampendous designers are playing with May Arts ribbons to create the perfect cards, and for my first card I'm showing you an adorable little Balloon Bunny Stamp and some super cute yellow polka dot ribbon!

Instructions:

1. Start with 5” x 7” purple card. Cut 4 ¾” x 6 ¾” lavender cardstock. Stamp entire cardstock with Birthday Block using Wilted Violet Distress Ink. Glue centered.
2. Cut 4 ¼” frame from white cardstock. Cut in half and glue to card as shown. Cut 3 ¾” x 6” turquoise cardstock. Glue centered and ¾” from the bottom. Cut 2 ¾” x 7” green stripe and glue centered. Glue ribbon.
3. Cut 3 ¼” white circle, and stamp Balloon Bunny. Cut a cloud shape from white cardstock. Place around the outside of the image and use a blending tool and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to add clouds to the background. Color image with Copics as shown. Cut 3 ¾” purple scalloped circle. Glue stamped image onto purple scalloped circle. Glue centered.
4. Cut 2 ½” x 1” purple cardstock. Cut 2 ¼” x 7/8” white cardstock. Stamp sentiment using Memento black ink. Glue to purple cardstock and glue as shown.
