This week's Brutus|Monroe blog hop is focused on a cute little stamp set called Tea Time. It has adorable little tea pots and cups and is so much fun! It comes with 9 graphics and 6 sentiments, and makes the perfect card for that tea aficionado in your life!
I wanted to pair together one of our embossing folders with my stamped image, so here is what I came up with. I created a batik kind of print using ink on my embossing folder!
To create my pattered paper background I inked the embossing folder with Cornflower ink, and lightly sprayed rubbing alcohol over a piece of watercolor paper. I quickly placed in in the folder and ran it through my machine. Then after it dried I cut it into pieces and used for my background.
I used an acrylic stamp block to stamp cornflower, Oz, and Rouge ink onto the block and sprayed rubbing alcohol to use the ink like a watercolor ink. I used this technique to paint the stacked tea cups. I added silk white flowers to complete my card.
