I am so excited to share with you the second stamp release that I illustrated! I can't believe that the stamps in front of me are mine! It's so surreal!!! When I look at these stamps I think about how I was sitting in my PJ's watching a Supernatural marathon, and phoning in Pizza because I was too tired. LOL. I hope that all the creative ideas you get from the design team, and myself spark your creativity and make you want to make your own Balloon Animal cards!
I wanted to do something simple but different for my first card, so I just stamped the balloon portion of the stamp onto white cardstock paper, and drew strings on them. I colored them in solid colors with a bit of shading, and cut it to fit on a A2 card. A strip of patterned paper, and a button, and Finished! A fast easy to make card.
Supplies for card 2:
Brutus Monroe Raven Detail Ink
Brutus Monroe Ink Speckled Egg
For this next card I wanted to do a masked scene. I stamped my images, then I used my Post it tape to mask my images before starting my blended background.
The reason why you can barely see my stamped images is because I am doing a no line coloring technique. I like to use my soft grey ink for this. If you have never tried this technique check out last weeks posts to see more about it!
I used blending tools and my Brutus Monroe inks in Hayride , Apricot , Speckled Egg , and Sea to create my sky.
Next I stamped a cloud onto my Post it tape and cut it out to use it like a stencil. I used a blending tool and some white ink to add some softer clouds to my background for more texture.
Once I peeled off the post it tape I colored in my images.
I added some Stickles to my clouds for some extra sparkle! I stamped my sentiment and colored in the letters with my white gel pen.
Please be sure to check out more of the cards on our weekly little hop!
