Today I am sharing how to make a fun birthday card using an adorable House Mouse stamp called Birthday Bird!
To make your own Birthday Bird card you'll need:
Stampendous:
HMCP37 Birthday Bird
SSC1115 Birthday Wish
RSR172 Birthday Block Stamp
EK20 Spring Sparkle
SSH57 Jumbo Perfectly Clear™ Acrylic Handle
MEM01 Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink By Tsukineko MPW811 Mixed Media White Paper
Plus:
- Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper© - grey, black, turquoise, white, light yellow
- Copic Markers: Y11,Y17,Y35,Y38,C3,C3,100,R59,R35,R37,YG00,YG03,YG06,G05
- Distress Ink – Squeezed Lemonade, Pumice Stone
- Versamark Ink
- HOTP Design Tool # 6
- Blending tool
- May Arts Ribbon – light turquoise stripe, turquoise scallop
- Flowers – white
- Buttons - black
- Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives
- Foam tape
Instructions:
1) Start with 7 ½” x 5 1/8” grey card. Cut 7 ¼” x 4 ¾” light yellow cardstock. Stamp Birthday Block stamp using Versamark Ink, sprinkle with turquoise Spring Sparkle. Heat set. Glue centered. Glue turquoise scallop ribbon to top and bottom of light yellow cardstock. Cut 7 ½” x ¾” grey strip and glue horizontal across center of card. Add stripped ribbon.
2) Use Design tool to cut out rounded label on Mixed Media paper. Stamp Birthday Bird and Birthday Wish sentiment “Hope your Birthday . . .” using Memento Ink. Ink edges with Pumice Stone using blending tool. Color with Copic Markers as shown. Use Design Tool to cut turquoise border, and mat your colored image. Glue centered onto card.
3) Glue flowers, and buttons.
4) Cut two 1” squares from black cardstock. Cut in half, and glue to card as corners.
