I have always loved Bokeh Backgrounds and when I saw this stamp from My Favorite things I had to try it.
Stamp from My Favorite things : Bokeh Background

Here's how I did it.
First you use any combination of Distress Inks and a blender tool on white paper. I used:
Then you will use a white pigment ink for your circles. (I have a very old large circle stamp I threw into the mix, but you could just use the ones that come with the stamp)
Have a scratch paper near by so you can sometimes stamp it first before going to your background to remove some of the excess ink.
Stamp 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation so you get lots of circles. Some bright and some faint.
Next heat set until ALMOST completely dry
Then take a blender with a clean pad and gently move over the whole paper making small circular motions.
Compare the above photo to the one below and you can see how it softens it.
Once this is done I repeat the process adding circles where I think it needs, and then it's done!
REMEMBER to let this dry completely before heat embossing any words onto it. Otherwise the embossing powder will stick everywhere!
