Tsukineko has wonderful products, but if you get me talking about them...I'm going to talk your ear off about their Radiant Neon Inks and Amplify! First off if you read my blog you know I love Neon a little too much. Second Amplify is a fun way to add texture to any project!
Before I show you my project . . . If you have never used the Creative Palette then please take a moment to watch Fran introduce to you all the wonderful things you can do with it! Here is a video she did explaining what it's all about as well as the creative backgrounds you can make with it.
With the Creative Palette Backgrounds and the Mixed Media Possibilities are endless!I created this colorful back ground using Radiant Neon Inks and Stampendous Creative Palette!
We have prizes! Three lucky commenters will receive a prize package that includes:
1 Radiant Neon Ink Pad and Ink Refill
1 Color Fragments Jar
a Creative Palette Rectangles Set
See Official Contest Rules for details.
Here is the card I made for the collaboration. I started with the Creative Palette and the Radiant Neon Ink refills. I really wanted to just explore and just see what evolved rather than having a sketch or a plan in my head. I made several backgrounds (and got very messy, my favorite part) and picked a background that I loved. I wanted to add some layers after that so I continued to stamp on my bright background using Stampendous Butterfly's, the NEW Andy Skinner Curiosity Stamp Set, and the square stamps from the Creative Palette Set.
You want to know another great feature to using the Creative Palette to make cards or pages? You can't mess up! Simply play with your desired medium (paint, ink, watercolor, etc.) and then layer with Stamps! Your projects come out beautiful and unique every single time!
Instructions:
- Create a back ground using Creative Palette, Radiant Neon Inks, and white cardstock. Set aside to dry. Trim to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and randomly stamp images of your choosing (I used NEW Andy Skinner Curiosity Stamp Set, and the square stamps from the Creative Palette Set). Round corners.
- Cut 5" x 7" white card. Round corners. Cut 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" black cardstock, and round corners. Glue colorful background image to black as shown. Cut 3" x 1 1/4" white cardstock. Stamp sentiment and glue to black cardstock leaving 1/8" border. Glue to card.
- 3. Stamp Butterfly onto white cardstock, and cut out. Apply Pink Amplify and Heat set. Glue Butterfly and sequins to card as shown.
