Is there anything better than ribbon!!! I think not! I am a self proclaimed ribbon hoarder and there is no company I love more than May Arts! I love the quality of their ribbons as well as the variety! There's even prizes for this yummy Blog Hop
This week the Stampendous designers are playing with May Arts ribbons to create the perfect cards, and for my first card I'm showing you an adorable little Balloon Bunny Stamp and some super cute yellow polka dot ribbon!
Here's how I made it:
Stampendous:
SSC1115 Birthday Assortment Stamp Set
DCP1006 Fitted Frames B Die Cut Set
SSH57 Jumbo Perfectly Clear™ Acrylic Handle
MEM01 Memento™ Tuxedo Black Ink By Tsukineko MPW811 Mixed Media White Paper
Plus:
- Cardstock by Bazzill Basics Paper© - white, turquoise, purple, lavender
- Patterned Paper: green stripe
- Copics: W3,W5,W7,R20,RV23,B000,B00,B02,B05,YG03,YG11,YG06,C3,C5,Y11,Y15,Y35,YR15,R11,RV21,RV13,Vo1,V04,V12
- Cutting Die – circle and scallops
- Blending Tool
- Distress Ink – Wilted Violet, Tumbled Glass
- Ribbon – yellow polka dot
- Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives
Instructions:
- Start with 5” x 7” purple card. Cut 4 ¾” x 6 ¾” lavender cardstock. Stamp entire cardstock with Birthday Block using Wilted Violet Distress Ink. Glue centered.
- Cut 4 ¼” frame from white cardstock. Cut in half and glue to card as shown. Cut 3 ¾” x 6” turquoise cardstock. Glue centered and ¾” from the bottom. Cut 2 ¾” x 7” green stripe and glue centered. Glue ribbon.
- Cut 3 ¼” white circle, and stamp Balloon Bunny. Cut a cloud shape from white cardstock. Place around the outside of the image and use a blending tool and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to add clouds to the background. Color image with Copics as shown. Cut 3 ¾” purple scalloped circle. Glue stamped image onto purple scalloped circle. Glue centered.
- Cut 2 ½” x 1” purple cardstock. Cut 2 ¼” x 7/8” white cardstock. Stamp sentiment using Memento black ink. Glue to purple cardstock and glue as shown.

Oohh... I love the double strand of ribbon! I often get stuck with thin ribbons that would look funny as a single... must remember this fab idea!
