Welcome to day 26 of 31 Days of Halloween!
If you haven't been with us since day 1 be sure to check out the Stampendous Blog as well as The Smeared Ink Blog to see all the Halloween fun we've been having! Today I decided to do something a little special. A mini Halloween album. For those of you who don't know I am a HALLOWEEN FINATIC! I love all things Halloween and I especially love doing Halloween make-up. I thought it would be fun to create a mini album of my Halloween Make-up looks.
I altered an all ready adorable stamp from Stampendous Eek a Boo Stamp, and in order to create some brains I used Stampendous Bowl Bouquet flower Stamp. Let me show you how I do it!
You'll need:
Stampendous Bowl Bouquet flower Stamp
Stampendous Tricky Words Stamps
Stampendous Witchy Legs Clear Stamps
Stampendous Detail Embossing Powder - white
Memento Ink - black
VersaMark Ink
Cardstock - black, white
5" x 5" Canvas
Copics (C1,C2,C3,C5,C7,BG40,BG93,RV23,BV02,BV00)
Acrylic Paint -Purple, white, black
Paintbrush
Glossy Accents
Distress Ink - Barn Door, Brushed Sage, Black Soot
Blending Tool
Cosmetic Sponge
Craft Sheet (or wax paper)
Heat Gun
Foam tape
Black Buttons
Front Instructions:
1. Paint back of canvas purple, and back edge black. Paint canvas front and sides with purple paint, and let dry. Mix purple and a small amount of white paint to create a lighter shade of purple. Place stencil on top of canvas and pat light purple paint over stencil with cosmetic sponge, covering canvas. Let dry.
2. Stamp Eek a Boo stamp twice onto white paper using Memento Ink. Use blending tool to blend Brushed Sage, Black Soot Distress Ink over entire stamped image, cut out. On the second stamp color the pumpkin and rat using Copics. Cut pumpkin and rat out making sure to not cut out the hat as shown. Stamp small flower stamp onto with cardstock using Barn Door Distress Ink. Color with RV23. Cut out and glue behind cut out pumpkin.
3. Foam tape background stamp onto black cardstock and tear edges. Foam tape pumpkin on top of stamped image. Glue centered onto canvas using Glossy Accents. Tear strip of paper and stamp with "Enter if you Dare!!" sentiment. Glue onto canvas as shown.
4. Rub Barn Door Distress Ink onto craft mat. Add Glossy Accents to mat and mix with ink. Drip onto canvas and stamp as shown.
Back Instructions:
1. Cut 2" strips and fold every 2" accordion style. glue end pieces together to create one long album. For the cover cut 2" x 2" white cardstock, stamp with music score and use blending tool and Black Soot Distress Ink. Glue to cover. Add a little purple paint, and let dry. Stamp "If you've got it Haunt it!" sentiment with VersaMark Ink and sprinkle with White Detail Embossing Powder, heat set. Add buttons.
2. Cut 2" x 2" pictures and glue on album pages. Glue back page into canvas.
