We all know that Stampendous Stamps can help you create great cards, and scrapbook layouts . . . but did you know you can also make adorable Christmas Ornaments? By stamping, cutting, and gluing your image back to back you can make any ornament you want! It makes for the perfect little gift, and you can even tie it on top of a present! For this project I'm using Stampendous Create Christmas Stamp Set which is awesome because not only do you get 8 themed stamps to create whatever you want. . . but you also get a stencil with coordinating images!
Just imagine, you could totally mix it up and make a tree ornament that is Olive, red, ivory and gold for a more traditional Christmas Ornament. You could even transform this Christmas tree ornament into a Halloween ornament by simply creating a purple tree with orange, green, and black ornaments!
The rhinestones add so much sparkle and shine, but I could totally see pearls on this tree for a more traditional look!
If you would like to make one...let me share with you just how to do that!
You'll need:
Stampendous Create Christmas Stamp Set
Stampendous Silver Embossing Powder
Cardstock - grey, lime green
Distress Inks - Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles
Fingertip Sponge Daubers
Rhinestones - clear, green, pink, turquoise
May Arts - pink ribbon
Heat Gun
Foam Tape
1. First start by stamping 2 trees onto the green cardstock with Twisted Citron. Use the stencil as a mask on each layer to add Twisted Citron, then Mowed Lawn, and finally a touch of Pine Needles using a dauber.
2. Next stamp the tree's with the Stampendous Create Christmas "pine needles" stamp using Twisted Citron Distress Ink.
3. Using the Stampendous Create Christmas "tinsel with ornaments" stamp and Versamark ink, stamp across each layer of the tree. Sprinkle on silver embossing powder, shake off excess and heat set. Cut trees out. Add rhinestones for the ornaments.
4. Stamp star on grey paper with Versamark Ink, Sprinkle on silver embossing powder, shake off excess and heat set. Cut out and glue star to tree. Add Foam tape to back of one tree, place ribbon, and push trees together.
