For todays card I wanted to share with you what I consider to be one of the most versatile stamps to color. It's Stampendous Timeless Rose Rubber Stamp. This rose can be colored rich and red for Valentines Day, soft and serene for a sorry for your loss card, deep purple rose for Halloween or a pastel pink for a baby shower. That's why I love the versatility in this stamp! So today I'm showing you how to create a card in my favorite style . . . .Shabby Chic!
When I want to create the perfect shabby chic look I always look to May Arts for some fabulous vintage ribbons. Here are some of my favorites: Sheer, Florals, and Burlap!
To create your own Shabby Chic card you'll need:
Timeless Rose
Life Words Perfectly Clear Stamps Set
Items:
- Card stock – white, rose
- Watercolor paper
- Doily Cutting Die
- May Art Ribbon – Burlap and Lace, Pink Sheer
- Versamark Ink
- Stampendous Detail White Embossing Powder
- Peerless Watercolor – Brilliant Yellow, Geranium Pink, Forget Me Blue, Chrome Green Deep
- Distress Inks – Weathered Wood, Antique Linen
- Blending Tools
- Acrylic Block
- Beacon Zip Dry
- Foam tape
Instructions:
1) Start with 7” x 5” rose card. Cut a 5 ½” x 4” white card stock. Cut 3 doilies, and use blending tool to add Antique Linen. Glue to card front as shown. Glue burlap ribbon to bottom of card.
2) Stamp watercolor paper with Versamark Ink, and sprinkle with white embossing powder. Shake off excess and heat set. Use Peerless Watercolors to paint rose. Let dry. Round corners of painted rose and use blending tool to add Weathered Wood to corners.
3) Foam tape rose centered on card front. Add pink sheer ribbon, and pink sheer bow. Cut small circle and blend with Antique Linen. Stamp “Love” sentiment in center of circle with Antique Linen. Foam tape below sheer bow.

Beautiful card! I have never tried the Peerless W/C. Just found out about them. I now know they've been around like forever. I bet they are neat to work with. I can see they sure put down beautiful color. TYFS!!

I love your watercoloring! The colors you chose are so soft and pretty. I have not tried the Peerless watercolors yet. I may have to buy a small sampler pack.
