I had to share this fun image from PolkaDoodles! Her name is Serenity Stardust and she's so beautiful! I love the way she's just sitting on the moon amongst the stars. I used Copics to color her, and watercolors & Distress Inks for the background. I finished her off with some Stardust Stickles to make her sparkle!
I was ble to try a lot of new coloring techniques thanks to my wonderful coloring teacher Alyce Keegan at Kit & Clowder. I took a couple of her classes, as well as attended a retreat and learned SOOOOO MUCH! If your interested you can find her classes here: Kit & Clowder classes.
I love using Distress Inks as watercolors. For the water colors I used Broken China, Dusty Concord, and Faded Jeans Distress Ink. When you start to watercolor your background just remember that the paper will react and look splotchy at first, but as it dries it will all even out. So save judgment for when it's completely dry. I inked the edges with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink.
I also colored the white silk flowers with BV00,and BV02.
