It's a mixed media day! I'm combining three fantastic products today. Stampendous mixed media stamps, Dreamweaver stencils, and Linnie Bloom fabric file folders! At Linnie Blooms you’re going to find oodles of fun projects to really take your mixed media in a new direction. We met this new company at CHA in January, and we immediately had heaps of ideas for using her clever products. What a new dimension to journals, canvases, books, scrapbook pages! We know you’re going to love seeing the inspiration from this week’s hop!
Plus there are prizes!! Three lucky winners will each win a set of Linnie Blooms Fabric Mini File Folders just like they provide for our team. Plus, you’ll receive a Dreamweaver Stencil background, and our Vintage Press Perfectly Clear Stamps™ Set. You’ll be creating Mixed Media fabric accents in no time! These winners have to have a U.S. mailing address (official rules here), but Aussie Fans – good news! The Stencil Specialists are sponsoring one Australian prize for this collaboration! You could win a Stampendous stamp, an LL sized Dreamweaver Stencil of your choice, a silicone buttons mould, and a Stampendous Embossing Powder (your color choice)… Wow!! Be sure to let us know you’re from Australia in your comments!!
I thought the perfect subject for my layout would be my adorable granddaughter Lily Ann! I love how fast Stampendous Mixed Media stamps make a layout come together. For this layout I used NK Studio Grunge Cling Rubber Stamps (NKCRS03), as well as the reusable Paint Splash Template that's included with the stamp set to add pattern to my background. I also used Stampendous Cling Build A Bouquet Set to add some floral accents by embossing vellum with white embossing powder.
To add texture to my layout I used Dreamweaver Graduated Dot Stencil, and Dreamweaver Translucent Paste. To create the textured dots I mixed Frantage Embossing Enamels in shabby blue with the translucent paste, and spread that over the graduated dot stencil to add texture to my layout. I also stamped flowers onto the Linnie Blooms file folder, and used watered down paints to paint the leaves. The fabric file folder was fantastic to paint on I loved the way it accepts the paints and it's so easy to paint on!
