Wondering what to do with all those swirls and flourish stamps? Why not make them a focal point on a card! I used Stampendous Medallion Circle Rubber Stamp to create the bejeweled card. I love purple and royal blue together. (especially with the silver embossing powder!)
Here's how to make your own:
Items:
- Cardstock by Bazzill Basics® – grey, deep purple, royal blue
- Stampendous Medallion Circle Rubber Stamp
- Stampendous Penned Love Rubber Stamp
- Stampendous Metallic Embossing Powders - silver
- Stampendous Micro Glitter - purple
- Dreamweaver LX 7001 Tapestry Stencil
- Dreamweaver Embossing Paste - White
- Ranger Alcohol Ink - Sail Boat Blue, Purple Twilight
- Stencil Tape
- Distress Ink-Black Soot
- Blending tools
- VersaMark Ink
- Rhinestones- Blue, purple
- Zip Dry™ Paper Glue by Beacon Adhesives Foam Tape
- Foam tape
Instructions:
1) Start with 4 1/2" x 5 3/4" grey cardstock card. Glue 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" deep purple centered onto grey card. Cut 4" x 5 1/8" blue cardstock. Tape stencil on top of blue cardstock. Mix Alcohol inks with a small amount of embossing paste. Spread over stencil. Remove stencil and sprinkle with glitter. Set aside to dry. Glue centered.
2) Cut 2" x 5 1/2" deep purple strip. Cut a "V" from both ends. Stamp with "Love" sentiment using VersaMark Ink, sprinkle with silver embossing powder. Heat Set. Glue centered and 3/4" from the bottom. Stamp Medallion Circle stamp on grey cardstock using VersaMark Ink, sprinkle with silver embossing powder. Heat Set, and cut out. Ink edges with Black Soot Distress Ink, and add some ink to center. Foam tape onto card, and place rhinestones as shown.
