I can't believe I get my 2 favorite products for this blog hop . . . Stampendous & Spellbinders! Such a dream! I am both a fanatic for Stampendous stamps and amazing Spellbinder cutting dies . . . what could be better? For my Christmas themed card I thought the Santa Collage stamp was the perfect partner for the Bitty Blossom, and Label 36 cutting dies!
For this card I used Distress Watercolor pens to create those blended Christmas colors! To create your own card, you'll need:
5" x 7" card base
Stampendous Santa Collage stamp
Distress Ink Barn Door
Blending Tool
Ranger Archival Ink - black
Watercolor paper
Distress Marker Watercolor pens - Mowed Lawn, Worn Lipstick, Brushed Corduroy, Dried Marigold, Faded Jeans, Shabby Shutters, Pumice Stone, Tumbled Glass, Antique Linen, Barn Door, Evergreen Bough
Paintbrush
Red pattern paper
Gold Glitter paper
Dark green, red, white cardstock
Zip Dry
Foam tape
Step 1: Stamp Santa Collage onto watercolor paper with black Archival ink. Using Distress Markers add color to stamped image as shown , and spread color with water and paintbrush. Let Dry.
Step 2: Cover car with red patterned paper. Cut 5" x 6" dark green cardstock and glue centered onto the card. Using the largest Spellbinders label cutting die, cut 2 labels from the gold glitter cardstock. Glue one label horizontal onto the center of the card. Cut the second label in half, and glue vertically 1/4" from top and bottom of card as shown. Cut stamped image to 3 1/2" x 4 3/4", and use blending tool to add Barn Door Distress Ink to edges. Mat on red cardstock leaving 1/8" border and foam tape to card.
Step 3: Die cut 3 medium Spellbinders Bitty Blossom from red cardstock. Follow package instructions to create red roses. Glue to card front as shown. Die cut 3 leaves from dark green cardstock and glue around roses.
Step 4: Stamp Sant Collage stamp onto watercolor paper with black Archival ink. Using smallest Spellbinders label cutting die cut out the word "Christmas" from stamped image. Use blending tool to add Barn Door Distress Ink to edges, and foam tape to card as shown.
