All of this week, the Stampendous and Dreamweaver teams are playing with a mix of their products, along with some wonderful, SAND-ABLE papers from Core'dinations. Join us as we sand our way to the "core" of all things Christmas and the Holiday season. Of course, there will be prizes, and we give away the best...this time with a mix of fun Core'dinations products as well. To be one of three prize package winners, follow the posted link lists each day, leave a comment, and winners will be selected from these comments at the beginning of next week.
This is what you might win:
Is it just me or does Dreamweaver make the most amazing stencils? I especially love their background stencils! Like this Holly Flourish background stencil, and the NEW "Happy Holiday" sentiment stencil. Perfect for a whimsical Christmas card!
But this card would not be complete without the fabulous red and green Core'dinations paper! I love their product because it's so much fun to emboss their papers, and apply sandpaper until the core color is revealed! It's like Christmas morning!
Step 1: I started by running my hypnotic red Core'dinations paper through my embosser. I sanded the chevron design to reveal the red. Next I taped down my Dreamweaver Holly Flourish stencil and spread Dreamweaver white embossing paste. Once it was dry, I placed my stencil back over the design and colored holly and berries with Spectrum Noir Markers LG3,LG4, DR5.
Step 2:Mat this onto white cardstock, and glue to the front of Cloak of Envy Core'dinatioin paper card that has been sanded just around the edges.
Step 3:Repeat embossing paste technique with Dreamweaver "Happy Holiday" stencil. Cut out, and glue to front of card. Add buttons!
It's quick and easy to do, and the results are spectacular! Try making your own, and don't forget to check back throughout the week on the Stampendous blog to see more great designs by our talented design team!
Oooh, love the chevron background embossing. Lovely card with fun details. Now I need to pull out my stencils and get to work. Thanks for the inspiration.
