Stampendous Pen Pattern Owl

I am partial to owls, but I really think this Stampendous Pen Patterned Owl is Stinkin cute!!! This card was so much fun to make! I love Stampendous Pen Patterned stamps, because there so FUN to color!

Items need to make your own card:

• Cardstock – gray, lavender, green,white, pale blue
• Wood grain embossing folder
• May Arts lavender stripe ribbon
• Gray Ink Pad
• Versamark Ink Pad
• Clear Embossing Powder
• Heat Gun
• Die Cutting/Embossing Machine
• Spectrum Noir Markers: CT1, BT2, CG2, BG4, LV1, CR1
• Double adhesive tape
• Tombo Adhesive
• Foam Tape

 Instructions:

 1) Start with 4 ½”x 5 ¾” lavendar card. Cut 4 ¼” x 5 ½” gray paper and emboss with wood grainfolder. Glue centered on lavender. Cut and tear 1” x 5 ½” green cardstock. Stamp Pattern Owl randomly with Versamark ink, and glue to left edge of gray cardstock.

 2) Use stamp postitioner to stamp Pattern Owl onto white cardstock with gray ink. Clean stamp, and repeat process using Versamark ink. Sprinkle with clear embossing powder. Shake off excess, and heat set.

 3) Color with Spectrum Noir Markers CT1, BT2, CG2, BG4, LV1, CR1 as shown. Use double adhesive tape to add two 2 ¼” strips of ribbon to card2 5/8” from the bottom. Add bow.

 4) Very carefully cut out eyes and beak, and wing. Glue owl to card front as shown, and foam tape eyes and beak, and wing back in place.

5) Stamp “Happy Birthday” to pale blue cardstock strip and glue to card.

Simon Says Stamp Kraft Challenge

Simon Says stamps challenged every crafter within ear shot to come up with a card using kraft paper and Hero Arts Stamps! Easy! I have 2 particular Hero Arts products that I love to work with. First up is the beautifully detailed Hero Arts Herbs n Honey background stamp, and of course the delicate Hero Arts Floral Lace  cutting die! I wanted to create a soft feminine look to go with my "Brave Chick" stamp set from Amy Doodle's Stamp Company. All the elements came together to create a soft feminine card, that reminds are sister's that are in the fight for their lives . . .  .GO KICK CANCER'S ASS!

Technique Tuesday: Skull-tastic Shaker Card

Halloween is almost upon us and I thought I would celebrate by creating a skull shaker card! For this card I used one of my favorites...Stampers Anonymous - Tim Holtz - Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp Set - Apothecary...WOW, that was a mouthful. Let's just call it the skull stamp! Let's get started!

 

You'll need:

Black, white, and purple cardstock

Transparency sheet

Stampers Anonymous - Tim Holtz - Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp Set - Apothecary

StazOn - black

Versamark Ink

Stampendous Super Fine White Embossing Powder

Stampendous Shaved Ice Fragments

Distress Ink - Black Soot, Shaded Lilac

Blending Tool

Memory Box - Distressed Web Stencil

Stencil Tape

Radiant Rain Shimmer Mist - Snapdragon

Exacto Knife, Foam Tape,  Zip Dry

 

Start by taping down the stencil.

Spray a nice even coat of Shimmer Mist.

Remove stencil and let paper dry. Clean stencil for next step.

Replace stencil and dab on Black Soot Distress Ink.

 

Stamp Skull in the center of webs using Black Soot Distress Ink.

Next use Exacto knife to cut out skull.

Stamp skull onto transparency using StazOn ink. Set aside to dry.

Use the Blending tool to add some Shaded Lilac to the white cardstock.

Glue transparency to purple paper.

Turn over and place 2 layers of foam tape to create a box.

Add Shaved Ice Fragments. Carefully peel back tape and place white cardstock on to the back to finish your shaker box.

Use blending tool to add Black Soot to edges.

Stamp "Happy Halloween" sentiment to bottom of black card using Versamark ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder, heat set.

Glue shaker to card.

Color Me Monday

This is a special Color Me Monday. I am releasing a new digi stamp called "Brave Chick". It is close to my heart, because my daughter fights a battle everyday with her Polycythemia Vera Mutation JAK2V617F, a rare form of Leukemia. But this little old stamp is not just for her, but for everyone fighting the good fight.

It's a opportunity to create a little card to brighten someones day, make them laugh, or remind them they are not alone. I hope this card and stamp are perfect for lifting the spirits of friends and loved ones.

 

May every woman who goes through the difficult trial of losing ones hair, and battling this horrible thing called cancer remember...

You are strong, courageous and beautiful!

 

 

HHH Jewelry Halloween Necklace

I saw this Rectangle Shadow Box Pendant-Locket and had to create a Halloween theme necklace! I thought the perfect stamp for this would be "Danse Macbre" by Stampendous of course . . .  because I'm obsessed with skulls! It was really very easy to do!

Supplies:

Stampendous Danse Macabre Stamp

Stampendous Tricky Words Stamp Set

1x1.75in Rectangle Shadow Box Pendant-Locket

Orange Iris Mylar Shimmer Sheetz

StazOn ink in black and silver

Purple, and white cardstock scrap

Glossy Accents

Stampendous Purple Micro Glitter-Spring Micro Glitter Kit

Orange rhinestones

Beads - light brown, purple, orange

Purple beaded chain

Purple marker

Foam tape

 

Step 1: Stamp Danse Macabre with black StazOn onto Orange Iris Mylar Shimmer Sheetz. Cut to fit into Rectangle Shadow Box, and glue in place. Stamp Danse Macabre with black StazOn onto white cardstock. Add color with purple marker. Cut out and use 3 layers of foam tape to attach to inside of box.

Step 2: Glue purple scrap to inside bottom of box. Add Glossy Accents to attach rhinestone to purple paper. Next add Glossy Accents to paper and sprinkle with Stampendous purple micro glitter.

Step 3: Close door. Using silver StazOn, stamp Stampendous Tricky Words magic dust Stamp to outside of door. Then add orange rhinestones to finish. String beads and attach to chain!

Stampendous Pumpkin Parade Blog Hop

It's the Stampendous Pumpkin Parade! Okay, I like pumpkins. Their cool, but I really LOVE to color them! They are an excellent opportunity to practice shading! I love the way these adorable Stampendous  Punkin Pals come out looking when shaded using my Copics! Too fun!!

Supplies:

Stampendous Gold Lux Mix

Stampendous Tricky Words Sentiment stamp

Stampendous Punkin Pals Stamp

Black and white Cardstock

Patterned paper

Wood Stick (toothpick will work too)

Distress Ink Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Shaded Lilac, Seedless Preserves

Buttons

Rhinestones

Markers

White Paint Pen

Post it Notes (optional)

Foam Tape

Zip Dry

Step 1: Glue 6 3/4" x 5 1/4" purple patterned paper to 7" x 5" black card. Mat 6" x 4 3/4" striped patterned paper onto black cardstock and glue at an angle to card as shown. Mat 2 1/4" x 5" green dot pattered paper onto black cardstock and glue to card as shown.

Step 2: Cut 5" x 4 1/4" white cardstock, and use blender to add Black Soot, Chipped Saphire, and Shaded Lilac for the night sky. Start by blending Shaded Lilac at the bottom and work your way to the middle. Next blend Chipped Sapphire from the middle to the top, and last blend Black Soot from the top to the middle. Use White paint pen to add dots to the night sky. (You can use a post it note across the bottom of paper, blend lightly with black soot to create the ground)

Step 3: Stamp Punkin Pals and color with Copic Markers V12,V15,V17, V00,V03,V06, C03,C05,C07. Cut out punkins and foam tape to card. Mat onto black dot patterned paper, and glue to card as shown. Add Zip Dry to bottom of paper and sprinkle with Stampendous Gold Lux.

Step 4: Cut out banner, and stamp "Happy Halloween" sentiment using Black Soot, and Seedless Preserves. Glue to stick and foam tape to card. Glue buttons to card and add rhinestones to buttons.

Technique Tuesday: Zombie Box Invite

 

I thought I would keep it simple this week! Here is an easy box that can be decorated in any theme, and is perfect for an invite or a present! With Halloween around the corner I was inspired to create a Zombie invite for a movie night using Zombie Zach Digi stamp. I filled it with my favorite version of popcorn flavored puffs called Puff Corn! The back is a perfect place for an invitation, or maybe a birthday wish!

Start by printing the box template on to what ever paper you like

At this point you can stamp on it to add a pattern. (If you would like, this would be the right time to cut a window from the box front, and glue in a piece of transparency sheet) Cut the box out, and fold. Glue ends together. 

Attach a 4 3/4" x 6 1/2" coordinating paper to the back and decorate!

Super easy right? Once you make one, you'll be able to crank them out!
