I'm so in love with skulls! It's an obsession that requires restraint, but I'm not holding back for this challenge!!! Stampendous has asked me to create something with the theme: Skulls Galore, and I say.... Challenge accepted! Bwhahahahahaha(meniacle laugh).
I'm going to show you my most favorite way to use a stamp. It's STAMP, SCAN, and BLOW IT UP! I love this technique because you gives you the ability to use one stamp in so many different ways! I'm going to show you 3 different ways that you can use one incredible cute stamp to create amazing projects that will make you friends say "How did you do that?"
Let's start with the an adorably spooky stamp called "Tomb Elements". A charming Halloween setting of tombstone, cemetery, skeleton and black cat, perfect for creating our spooky projects. Image measures approximately 4" X 4", but we are not going to let that stop us from creating big projects!

When working with this technique the most important part to remember is to stamp a really clean image. That way when you scan the image and enlarge it, it will be a crisp detailed image. NOTE: If your not sure how to enlarge an image, you can find tutorial's for almost every editing software program on You Tube.
For my first project I will be making a favor box! But let's take our image and try going small to start! I'm going to shrink the image down to 1 1/2" x 1 1/2", and print it onto white cardstock. I added a little colored pencil to the image, and moved the colors around using my Gamsol kit. I matted it onto pattern cardstock and attached it to my box. I used a left over enlarged image to cut out the skull head and foam tape it to the center of my bow!

For my second project I'm going to take my scanned stamped image and enlarge it to 6 1/2"x 6 1/2". I'm printing it in black and white, and then cutting it to a 6" circle. I'm not going to color it because I want that stark black and white effect for my finished look. You simply place your circle onto a charger of your choice and add a clear plate on top of it. Viola, instant Halloween table setting! Notice the silverware is being held by our skeleton friend! Just enlarge your skeleton so he is slightly bigger, print and cut out the skeleton's head, chest and arms, and tuck him inside the napkin!
For my third and final project (I told you I was obsessed with skeletons!) I'm making a halloween banner to hang in the house for a frightfully good decoration! For this banner you'll need to enlarge the image to 8" x 8". Next print it onto white, purple, lime green and grey cardstock. You'll also need a blending tool, and Distress Inks Seedless Preserves, and Black Soot. The purple print will be your background, and you'll need to cut it to 8 1/4" x 8 1/2" square. Use the blending tool to to add Seedless Preserves starting at the outside edge and working towards the center , stopping about 1" from the edge. Then add Black Soot on the outside edges. Glue onto 8 1/2" x 10 1/4" lime green cardstock, then onto 9" x 11" black cardstock(you can tear the bottom of black cardstock if desired).
Cut out back ground tombstones from grey cardstock, and add Black Soot to add shading, and glue onto purple background. Cut out skeletons tombstones and add shading with Black Soot, foam tape to purple background. Next cut out skeleton from white, and add Black Soot for shading and foam tape onto purple background. Cut cat from lime green cardstock (Don't worry about cutting out the tail) and foam tape to cat on purple cardstock. Add ribbon and "Happy Halloween" sentiment. ("Happy Halloween" was printed onto orange cardstock using Toxia font at 65pt.)

Here's what it looks like hanging on my door . . . .

I hope you've enjoyed my crazy skull projects, and I hope you try these techniques with other amazing Stampendous Stamps, and see just how much you can make with one stamp!
