Here is my Butterfly Tune card for the Stampendous Blog hop! This stamp is really fun to use, and I love the large butterfly! I want to stamp a ton of them and hang them in my studio! But 2 on a card will have to do for now! I used my favorite color scheme, blue and orange. One is my favorite color and the other is my husbands, and it's also the colors we used for our wedding! Try using your 2 favorite colors to create your own Butterfly Tune!
To create this card you'll need:
Butterfly Tunes Stamp
Royal blue, medium blue, and white cardstock
Distress Ink Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Ripe Persimmon, and Squeezed Lemonade
Blending tool
VersaMark Ink
Detail embossing powder in clear
Detail embossing powder in black
Gold Halo Glitter
Spellbinders Decorative labels 27
Corner rounder
Sheer orange ribbon
Acrylic block
Heat tool
Black pen
Zip Dry
Step 1. Start with 5 1/4" x 5 3/4" royal blue card. Round corners. Cut 5" x 5 1/2" medium blue cardstock. Round Corners, and glue centered. Cut 4 3/4" x 5 1/4" white cardstock, round corners. Stamp Butterfly Tune stamp onto white cardstock using VersaMark ink. Sprinkle clear embossing powder, shake of excess, and heat set. Using blending tool blend Ripe Persimmon, and Squeezed Lemonade over cardstock. Use blending tool to blend a small amount of Salty Ocean Distress Ink at the top left and bottom right corners. Glue centered.
Step 2. Stamp Butterfly Tunes onto white cardstock twice using VersaMark ink. Sprinkle black embossing powder, shake of excess, and heat set. Using blending tool blend Tumbled Glass, and Salty Ocean over both butterflies. Cut out butterflies and glue to card front as shown.
Step 3. Cut 2 1/8" Spellbinders Decorative label from white cardstock. Use blending tool to blend Salty Ocean Distress ink. Stamp center with sentiment. (OPTIONAL: draw black lines on decorative label to frame sentiment).
Step 4. Glue bow, and foam tape decorative frame to card as shown.
