People ask me all the time how I like to set up my art studio. I always answer with COLOR! I set up all my supplies by sorting them by color, and then putting them in rainbow order.
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple!
And then some where at the end of that I throw in pink, black, brown, gray and white. Not only does it make it easy to find what I need, but it's really inspiring to me to see rainbows everywhere I look!
My Cardmaking Cardstock
Buttons
Ribbon
Bins to hold all my cutting dies and such. This system works great. I use the top as a work station, and all the things I don't want to see are tucked away. These shelves were a great bargin at Big Lots for only $29.99. Baskets were $3.99.
These are my embellishment boxes. Embellishments that I've collected over the years, and you guessed it! . . . . .They're sorted by color!
You've got to make room for memento's and things that make you smile!
Last but not least . . . I LOVE this stamp organization system that was introduced to me by Jennifer McGuire. I've tried many different ways, and so far this system holds the largest amount of stamps without taking up to much room.
This is a large Armoir that houses all my acrylic and cling stamps. Before you could barely close the door, and now I have room TO BUY MORE! (my husband will be so pleased; )
Each stamp is in a clear envelope and sorted by company. You could sort by type, or theme if you wanted to as well. Each bin holds about 150 stamps!!!
You'll find link below to the storage products I've talked about, and I hope this inspires you to carve out a little space of your own. If it's an entire room, or a small corner in the dining room....go on, you deserve it ; )
